We are especially interested in candidates whose work connects Byzantium to other areas, either geographically, through connections to the Islamic world, the Silk Road (i.e., Caucasus and Central Asia), or Slavic societies; or methodologically, including (but not limited to) environmental history, the study of material culture, or the history of science.
