The Supervising Case Manager is part of the Behavioral Health Services (BHS) team at the 1930 Market Street Services Center, and is part of the clinical leadership of the BHS team. The Supervising Case Manager is responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to Social Work Associate and/or Clinical Social Worker staff who function as Case Managers; screens and assesses referred clients for service needs, psychosocial history and service plans; is responsible for contract compliance and meeting of contract deliverables, as well as carries a small caseload of case management clients living with complex needs and co-occurring diagnoses of substance abuse issues, medical issues and severe mental illness. This position is part of a larger multidisciplinary behavioral health services team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, substance use counselors and case managers.
This position will partner heavily with the ZSFG Positive Health Practice (Ward 86) provider team, providing supervision and guidance of case management services to those clinic HIV-positive patients primarily under the Homeless, Aging and Long Term Survivors (HALT) Center of Excellence.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
