Position Summary:
The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine offers three dynamic MBA programs - plus PhD, specialty masters and undergraduate business degrees - that prepare business leaders for our digitally driven world. Through our programs, students acquire the exceptional ability to grow their organizations through strategic innovation, analytical decision-making, digital information technology and collaborative execution. While the Merage School is relatively young, it has quickly grown to rank consistently among the top five percent of all business programs worldwide through exceptional student recruitment, world-class faculty, a strong alumni network and close relationships with both individual business executives and global corporations. Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Full-Time MBA Program Services and Director of MBA Program Services, the MBA Program Administrator is primarily responsible for program management, student affairs and delivery of services for the Full-Time MBA program (100+ students) from orientation through graduation. In collaboration with the School of Biological Sciences, the MBA Program Administrator is also responsible for the program management and student affairs of the MSBTM students as it relates to the Merage curriculum. Serves as the day-to-day program/student affairs administrator and a primary point of contact for all FTMBA and MSBTM students. Advises students on curriculum and co-curricular activities, academic deadlines, and refers students to other individuals or offices, such as Financial Aid, Career Center, faculty, COE, etc. Serves as the primary advisor to the Merage Student Association board and its organizations in collaboration with the Student Government Student Media and the Student Life & Leadership departments. Ensures that student questions, concerns, and requests are addressed. Ensures that the Associate Director of Program Services and Director are aware of student concerns; involve them as necessary and appropriate for resolution. This role will occasionally support Flex MBA and Executive MBA events and activities which can include limited evening and weekend work.

$24.71 - $24.71 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $24.71 - $41.86 (Hourly Rate)
Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and other data base programs Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff in a tactful and productive manner. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, faculty and campus partners. Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations. Ability in problem identification and reasoning; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Skills in service orientation, organization, active listening, and critical thinking. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Preferred:
Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and pertinent databases. Knowledge of complex student immigration and visa processes pertaining to international students and scholars. Knowledge of University processes and procedures. Understanding of University rules and regulations.
