We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Vice President, Solution Architect (Senior Tech Lead) to join the Pershing X/Wove team. This role is located in Jersey City NJ, or New York, NY
This will be a hybrid position.
Summary:
Pershing X is a new start-up unit within BNY Mellon to incubate, engineer and deliver breakthrough solutions that will transform the advisory market.
Pershing X will deliver the industry's leading end-to-end advisory platform, helping financial service firms solve the challenge of managing multiple and disconnected technology tools and data sets for their advisors and fueling our clients' business growth.
We are a collaborative and fast-growing team working on exciting and innovative digital product offerings.
POD Description:
The Architecture & Core Services POD is responsible for designing and architecting solutions that are interoperable with an open architecture that will deliver a better integrated advisor experience that is technically complex and provides highly valued connectivity.
Ensures the optimal use of existing technology standards, capabilities, and the development of new ones to increase business revenue and lower costs while reducing risk, increasing resiliency, and enabling more effective service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of high-quality architectural solutions, while ensuring compliance with company policies. Strategizes and contributes to enterprise level technological initiatives on architectures, patterns, and standards. Responsible for creating low level design and development, perform code review. This position requires 60% hands-on development and 40% Solution architecture and design.
Defines and implements architecture and design in accordance with architecture principles. Oversees development activities of the to assure the development standards are met in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Identifies and recommends ways to drive more value out of the company's technology assets. Designs stable and flexible high-performance solutions, maximizing reuse and avoiding redundancy.
Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of total experience in technology
Required Skills Include: Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST services, Swagger, Apache Camel, Spring Batch, Kafka, Camunda, GitLab, MongoDB, Snowflake
Startup experience within a product development strongly preferred (FinTech Product buildouts is ideal).
Experience with Cloud-native architecture, MicroServices Architecture, Containerization, Cloud and SaaS platforms, Kubernetes and MS Azure is preferred.
Hands on with ability to quickly learn and POC new solutions, frameworks, environments, and technologies
Experience with designing Scalable High Resiliency Systems, Business Process Management, Camuda BPM is preferred, complex system integration projects
Experience with Big Data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Spark
Agile Development experience required, SDLC Tools, Gitlab, Maven, DevOps, CI/CD
Strong analytical skills, excellent problem solver and self-starter.
experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $111,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
