The Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) is the leading organization at the forefront of Planetary Health, a rapidly growing global field and social movement focused on understanding the human health impacts of our disruption and transformation of Earth's natural systems and the solutions necessary to address these challenges. The PHA is a growing global consortium of over 370 institutions in more than 65 countries, plus 20,000+ members, advancing Planetary Health understanding by convening experts; creating, gathering, and distributing educational materials; and curating, synthesizing, and mainstreaming Planetary Health narratives and solutions to inform and activate the Planetary Health community and the broader society. The PHA is housed within a cross-university Planetary Health initiative at Johns Hopkins University.
The Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Partnership Coordinator to identify, foster and maintain strategic partnerships with PHA Regional Hubs and allies, global health and development organizations, and other partners to grow the Planetary Health field and social movement globally. The Partnership Coordinator will also proactively track and support opportunities to embed Planetary Health into organizational narratives and policy agendas in support of PHA's vision and mission (https://www.planetaryhealthalliance.org/about-the-pha). The Partnership Coordinator will work in conjunction with the PHA Team, Regional Hub Leads, and will report to PHA's Program Director. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to build and maintain effective and positive cross-cultural relationships both internal to JHU and externally.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a thorough understanding of the Planetary Health field and emerging stakeholders and constituencies.
Ability to generate and maintain new partnerships and other collaborative efforts with organizations around the world.
Oversee a global network of ten regional Planetary Health hubs and working collaboratively with leaders of these hubs to help them grow, share lessons learned, and connect with the rest of the global Planetary Health ecosystem.
Identify new partners and conduct strategic outreach to engage, expand and network the PHA community, including through presenting to groups and individuals concerning our organization's mission and goals, which will require traveling occasionally and designing stakeholder surveys, landscape analyses or similar efforts as needed to ensure PHA staff and resources are supporting the evolving needs of the PHA network and Planetary Health field.
With the Program Director, support the team's dynamic engagement with PHA's governing committees and strategic evolution of these committees as needed.
Provide a leadership role in planning and implementing PHA programs and activities, including the Planetary Health Annual Meeting, regional convenings, and engagement with the JHU community.
Lead the preparation of compelling communications related to Regional Hubs and partnerships for audiences including sponsors, PHA governing committees, and Alliance members with the support of the PHA team.
Serve as a PHA staff coordinator of volunteer PHA fellows, interns, and associated programs as needed.
Support the growth of PHA's expanding public outreach efforts, through strategic development of Planetary Health narratives, stories, participation with our online community, as well as, leading the development of webinars or other communications and outreach.
Travel occasionally (about ~5% of the time, when normal business operations resume) to conferences and events hosted by member institutions; present on behalf of the PHA.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
3 years of related experience.
Additional education can be substituted for experience or additional experience may be substituted for education requirement to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Effectively manages multiple projects, often tight timelines.
Excellent writing and communications skills.
Knowledge and/or demonstrated experience in the area of global environmental change and/or public health as it relates to Planetary Health, preferred.
Experience synthesizing information in clear written form, particularly with regards to distilling Planetary Health research and concepts for lay audiences.
Experience working with the Microsoft Office and Teams products, some experience working with project management tools is a plus.
Keen attention to details and deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; outstanding interpersonal skills.
Awareness of and aptitude to appropriately and effectively understand, respect, and adapt to cultural and identity-based difference within group environments.
Knowledge of and commitment to concepts and issues tied to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
