Impact & Responsibilities: Recruits new transfer students to the University; interviews, counsels, and advises prospective students and parents, visits community colleges focusing on those with TRIO groups including out of state community colleges; evaluates credentials of prospective students and evaluates transfer courses and determines UNI equivalencies; assists with on and off campus recruitment events; and contributes to campus retention programming for diverse populations.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree; excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and counselors and work within a team environment.
Student experience will be considered. Frequent travel and occasional night and weekend work will be necessary.
Preferred: At least one year of related experience in admissions, advising, orientation, or student advocacy and demonstrated knowledge of the University of Northern Iowa.
