The Senior Business Intelligence(BI) Developer on the Health Sciences Business Intelligence team plays a critical role in developing and maintaining business intelligence applications using Tableau. They are responsible for creating data visualizations, reports, and dashboards supporting the organization's decision-making processes. This position also involves administering Tableau dashboard deployments, evaluating data sources, and providing advanced analytics and business intelligence expertise. The Senior BI Developer collaborates with stakeholders to strategize and develop scalable Tableau-based solutions focusing on automation and actionable insights.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Nine years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five years of related experience/training.
Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard design using Tableau.
Expert in complex data prep, wireframing and UI/UX design.
Ability to write, interpret, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices.
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
Advanced knowledge of technical and functional designs for databases, ETL, data warehousing, and reporting.
Advanced organizational and project management skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
Ability to serve as an advanced technical leader providing advice, counsel, and analysis on business intelligence issues.
Advanced interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with managers, professional and technical staff.
Flexibility to work on and learn various technologies.
Ability to balance strategic and tactical needs while adjusting to changing priorities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Cognos, including understanding its functions and capabilities for supporting data analysis and reporting.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $71,000 - $160,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $34.00 - $76.63
