Position Description:

As our Associate Dean for External Affairs, you will become a force for change and transformation as you guide us to raise funds that ensure the next generation of lawyers benefit from the legacy that is uniquely and distinctly UCLA Law. You will engage and enhance connections with highly involved and welcoming alumni and great faculty doing very important socially conscious work. Your work in partnership with strong, supportive leadership, highly collaborative colleagues and motivated staff will make a significant impact in our ability to meet and exceed the overall fundraising goals and priorities of UCLA Law.

As our Associate Dean, External Affairs, you will oversee the entire range of external affairs activities related to established priorities for the UCLA School of Law's research, teaching and service missions. In cooperation with the Dean of UCLA School of Law and the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Professional Schools Development, you will design, implement and manage a comprehensive program to secure private support from individuals, corporations and foundations. This is a remarkable opportunity to bring your leadership, management and dedication to excellence and fundraising expertise to guide the efforts, programs and initiatives of our team. In this role, you will work directly with the Dean on principal and major gift efforts and will work with all levels of our development staff to integrate and expand programs for principal gifts, major/planned gifts, special gifts, annual gifts and cultivation activities into a cohesive plan to achieve stated objectives. In addition, you will manage the School of Law's Alumni Affairs and Special Events programs. You will be a valued leader of our team in an innovative environment that offers long-term opportunities for personal and professional development as part of a robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.

Special Instructions:
The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $20,833.33 monthly.
