This position assumes the main responsibility for supporting the Sawyer Business School undergraduate initiatives by working closely with the undergraduate programs team as well as with campus partners. The purpose of this position would focus on improving educational and academic experience of undergraduate students within the Sawyer Business School.
PrimaryResponsibilities:
Administration:
Under the guidance of the SBS UG Assistant Dean and Director, serve as a key player in the Dean's Office to communicate with SBS academic department Staff and train graduate fellows assigned to SBS academic departments. Assist in reviewing course schedules during and after data entry to ensure correct entry. Assist SBS academic departments and maintain consistency of practicum requirements. Review and monitor faculty advisor assignments (first-year and later). Review and edit department promotional materials (e.g. curriculum sheets). Create promotional materials (e.g. flyers, emails, etc.) for department events, as needed. Working with the SBS UG Director, ensure all UG Academic Standing letters are sent to all impacted students. Working with SBS graduate programs staff, review Fast Track applications
First-Year Programming:
Build LMSsuper shellsthat aggregate all co-coordinator created and identified content, into an exciting, positive, and productive learning experience. Assist in the design, implementation, and assessment of faculty training workshops, intra-semester debrief meetings, and end-of-semester faculty feedback. Accumulate and summarize faculty evaluations, as well as intra-semester and post-course student surveys. Support the FYP Administrative team in faculty staffing for all the FYE courses, as well as communicating with faculty and admin to build schedules with the registrar's office.
UG Programs Support
Provide needed support and assistance for any activities and initiatives organized by the School's Undergraduate Programs leadership team including the Assistant Dean and the Director. In consultation with the UG Programs Director, provide training to UG Program Coordinators. Be an active player and member of the entire team with the passion and goal to help students succeed and prosper. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business is a must and Master's degree is a plus
Experiences in a business school setting with an in-depth understanding of the Business School and University curricular requirements
Experiences with college freshman education and knowledge about retention challenges and strategies
Deep knowledge about Gen Z learning styles and digital education trends
Excellent written and oral communication, and teamwork skills
Problem solving, data analysis and presentation, event planning and coordination
Personal attributes including but are not limited to caring, detail oriented, patient, thoughtful, proactive, and willing to take initiative and to take on new challenges
