Provides skilled assistance in the performance of tasks such as processing applications and providing support for various areas of operations of the College of Graduate Studies which also includes managing information and relationships with current and prospective students.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 am-5 pm; or as work requirements indicate. Must be able to work/teach remotely at the request of the University.
Responsibilities:
70% Process all masters and doctoral applications, receive and review admissions test scores, evaluate transcripts in order to calculate grade point averages, and review other departmental-specific criteria to assure that qualified students are admitted to the College of Graduate Studies. Communicate effectively with students from application to admission. Response time and being detail-oriented is very important.
20% Develop and utilize computer reports in order to obtain necessary data needed for departmental or program decision-making. Maintain a current manual for all office and student information system operations. Train student workers for assigned duties; cross-train with the Manager of Graduate Services on certain tasks, update computer skills by attending informational sessions provided by the University and other sources and maintain an efficient filing system. Presents a professional image for the College of Graduate Studies. Perform other duties as assigned
10% Participate in University information sessions both on and off campus. Must possess strong organizational and managerial skills as well as expertise and skills in the use of various software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Must also possess a basic understanding of the use and functions of a student records system and underlying database organization.
Education and Experience: Bachelorâ™s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The target base annual salary is $35,745 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
