The role of Hospital Billing (HB) Patient Financial Services (PFS) Supervisor performs team leadership tasks in support of achieving Hospital Revenue Cycle accounts receivable goals. The HB PFS Supervisor works in partnership with internal and external resources to create and send hospital medical insurance claims and collect expected reimbursement due.
HB PFS Supervisor demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, high-level organizational skills, advanced working knowledge of UB04 requirements, medical insurance billing guidelines for commercial and/or government payors and hospital contracts. The HB PFS Supervisor demonstrates strong experience performing daily account monitoring and ability to support actionable results with trended hospital claim processing issues. HB PFS Supervisors direct and monitor subordinate daily work assignments, monitor team productivity, perform account audits to observe quality standards are met, coach/train/develop staff performance, facilitate team meetings, perform medical insurance claim escalation actions, review account adjustments for approval and other department duties as assigned.
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
Experience and proven success in supervisory and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supervising hospital billing team.
Experience supervising hospital AR follow-up team.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range: $59,700 - $124,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.59 - $59.53
