Educate health administration and nursing undergraduate and graduate majors, faculty advisors, and other student service areas on health administration and nursing major admission requirements and procedures in coordination with Program Coordinators. Serve as an ex-officio member of all program Admissions and Progression Committees.
Assist with student recruitment activities and represent the department at events as needed. Travel to regional high schools, community college partners, colleges, universities, college fairs, and industry partners to perform recruiting duties for SNHL's undergraduate and graduate programs.
Disseminate program admission and progression information to prospective and current students. Work with SNHL's Program Coordinators to establish effective advising policies, procedures, and practices.
Accreditation & Reporting
Lead accreditation efforts by tracking reacreditation dates and requirements. Work with Program Coordinators to assemble faculty teams to assign and track requirements.
Support collection and analysis of program evaluation data for prospective students, current students, and alumni as required by various department accreditation and State Board program requirements, including student surveys and assessments. In concert with the Program Coordinators, conduct curriculum reviews, revisions, and evaluations.
Assist with processes for maintaining contact with program alumni (working with the Alumni Center). Collects and stores data on Internship, Capstone, and Clinical (ICC) placements and student onboarding. Develops annual reports on placements as needed and maintains statistics on ICC placements for accreditation purposes.
Experiential Learning Placements
Support Program Coordinators and respective faculty with ICC placements. Address the diverse needs of students related to planning these experiences. Prepare, update, and maintain contracts with ICC partners, ensuring expectations are met for all parties. Coordinate and schedule ICC experiences in collaboration with Program Coordinators. Document data as needed for accrediting bodies. Contribute to the current database of ICC sites by collaborating with Program Coordinators and faculty. Serves as a liaison between the ICC site, faculty, and students.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus one year of professional experience in a health-related field.
Functional knowledge of database software and management, word processing, and student tracking processes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze data, make independent decisions, and participate in team events.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
Competence with office information processing equipment and associated software.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a health-related field plus four years of professional experience in a health-related field.
Familiarity with experiential learning practice settings in the areas served by SNHL programs.
Experience with on-/-off education modalities.
Experience mentoring and advising students and novice faculty.
Experience working in an academic or ICC setting.
