Description: The Woodward School , an independent, day school for girls in grades 6- 12, in Quincy, MA, seeks a Latin teacher for a full-time position beginning in September of 2023.

An ideal candidate will:

• Be able to teach Latin to Middle and Upper School students through advanced levels with strong Latin language and curriculum proficiency, including readiness to prepare students for the National Latin Exam;
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in classical studies and/or Latin or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least three years of teaching experience;
• Be able to showcase innovation in all classroom practices, both with and without the inclusion of a variety of technologies.
• Be willing and prepared to be a practitioner of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in their pedagogy
• A commitment to all girls’ education

Other requirements are likely to include:

• Serve as Advisor to the School’s NJCL Chapter
• Community presence: Advisor; club mentorship; athletics attendance; admissions open houses; graduation; and other community events outside of typical school hours.
