The Crefeld School seeks an experienced Learning Specialist to begin on August 25, 2023 for the 2023-24 school year.
Serving students in grades 7 through 12, The Crefeld School's mission is to graduate self-aware, empathetic, lifelong learners, who possess an appreciation for diverse perspectives, their role in society, and their ability to act as agents of change. Located in Chestnut Hill, Crefeld is a gender inclusive school, providing an intentionally different college preparatory program to help students become their best selves.
Learning Specialist teacher for 9th and 10th grades: small groups (no more than 6-8 per class) and working with students in a 1:1 model
Creating and Implementing individual student learning plans, coaching students with executive function challenges, and advising teachers on curriculum and instructional accommodations via a team model.
Advisor or Co-Advisor for 7-9 students
Ideal candidates will possess the following credentials /qualities:
Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required in Special Education
Strong advocate for meeting the needs of a neurodiverse population; experience with Universal Design for Learning a plus
