Compensation:
Salary is highly competitive with top independent schools in the region and commensurate with education and experience and includes all professional responsibilities of a teacher, both in the classroom and community contributions. Salary range is $54,081 - $98,622 (annual) and is based on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development. Additional compensation is available for teaching certifications.

The Northwest School seeks a full-time, Upper School Math Teacher. This position begins August 14, 2023.
Essential Functions Include:
Teach four sections of Math to upper school students. Courses include Algebra and Calculus.
Serve as an advisor to a group of students by guiding their social and academic progress.
Coordinate curricula with other Math teachers and grade level teachers.
Plan and participate in a 2 week intensive course known as a Summit each year.
Participate fully in the life of the school which includes collaborating effectively and collegially with a teaching team, grade-level, and department; engage regularly in formal, ongoing professional development beyond school based in-service; support colleagues and the school by substituting for absent teachers; participate in meetings, committees, and community gatherings; and know, understand, and uphold the mission, philosophy and values of the school. All teachers contribute to the school mission and community with activities such as supporting student SEL, interest groups (clubs), social events, and grade level trips
Minimum Qualifications:
All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the school's mission, values, and philosophy, especially related to diversity and the environment.
A commitment to a learning and working culture where all community members feel seen, valued, and heard.
A bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Has a strong pedagogical toolkit for student accessibility to curriculum and success in the classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree and 3-5 years of teaching experience is preferred.
