Responsibilities:
Perform nursing assessment of allclients andinitiate the patient care plan in accordance with information obtained.
Monitor and assess patients for vital signs, signs of impending withdrawal, or other medical problems.
Administer medications according to Kingston Hospital Nursing policies and procedures and assists in inventory and storage of facility pharmaceutical supplies.
Accurately transcribe physicians' orders in a timely manner and execute under direction of physician.
Actively participate in daily inter-disciplinary patient update/conference, giving observations and update of each patient discussed.
Responsible for patients to provide assessment and medication in adherence to guidelines dictated by Kingston Hospital nursing department and regulations.
Prepares records and reports as required.
Participate in providing a learning environment for nurses, medical staff and counselors
Implement policies and procedures, service delivery standards, quality assurance and utilization review standards, and Kingston Hospital nursing division policies and procedures and standards of nursing care.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
Schedule appointments for physicians and prescribing professionals.
Initiate, monitor, and obtain toxicology.
Register medications and access for efficacy with instruction and education as needed.
Manages infection prevention and control activities.
