Position Description TMI Episcopal is seeking a full-time Upper School Digital Photography and I + D instructor for the 2023-2024 school year, to commence in August, 2023. A strong candidate will have 2-5 years of prior teaching experience in independent schools, be comfortable with a variety of modes of teaching, and be highly skilled at differentiating instruction. Primary Responsibilities -Teaching two sections of Innovation and Design, two sections of Digital Photography, and one section of Digital Music - Contributing to the broader TMI community by participating in extracurricular activities to possibly include the athletic program, residential life program, and/or club programs - Serving as an advisor to a small group of students - Fulfilling duties as assigned throughout the day
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Art, Computer Science, Engineering or related field - Two to five years teaching experience at the upper school level, preferably in an independent school setting Skills/Abilities - Thorough content knowledge in photography, graphic design, and the design-thinking process - Knowledge of diverse teaching strategies and ability to differentiate in the classroom - Knowledge of different project development methods in education and industry - Technologically savvy with a passion for learning new technologies - Excellent written and spoken communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities - Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments Benefits/Compensation - Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications. - Benefits include health insurance, dental, short/long-term disability, life insurance, PTO, and retirement plan participation. Founded in 1893, TMI Episcopal (TMI) is the flagship private school of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas.
