Responsible for the coordination and computer support for key dining functions and managing budget. Responsible for menu management software functions (CBORD), administrative procedures and reconciliation of vendor invoices and the coordination and management of computer and hardware systems used by the department. As a member of the Dining Services team, responsible for building and maintaining positive working relationships with all dining members, external customers and college co-workers.Assist with coverage of dining operations for vacations and weekends.
Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participate in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
Manage the Cbord software systems including Menu Management, Net Nutrition, Catertrax and other software solutions.
Direct, plan and maintain the input for the Cbord systems for accurate data for food ordering, recipes, nutrition, allergens and dietary accommodations, menus, menu costing, price updates and inventory systems.
Provide documentation and training as necessary to the entire dining team.
Meet with residential kitchen managers and chefs to identify areas for improvement in CBORD recipes and menus.
Advise Director of Dining Services on budget, financial and/or purchasing issues; analyze monthly financial reports for department budgets.
Assist with creating analytical approaches for financial analysis, forecasting and budget planning. Review and provide reports for dining managers for unit and or summer operations.
Assist with summer billing for summer housing and summer operations.
Hire, train and oversee student workers to assist in administrative responsibilities.
Direct and manage the administrative procedures in support of department invoice payment and cost record keeping requirements.
Prepare invoices for timely payment; utilize computer solutions as appropriate.
Audit, reconcile and resolve problem invoices as necessary.
Participate in menu development with Executive Chef as part of menu committee.
Ensure unit(s) comply with all department standards including sustainability and corporate social responsibility standards.
Identify areas for increased sustainability and reduced waste of, water, energy, food and inorganic materials.
Assist with training and installation of all computer applications and software for all dining staff Coordinate with ITS for computer upgrades, systems enhancements and/or software issues.
Explore and work with Dining Team to integrate technology solutions to improve work processes.
Develop summary reports of daily meal counts.
Assist with general administrative tasks and provide support and back up to the Administrative Assistant and Purchasing Manager.
Assist and prepare Workday reports as necessary.
Perform other tasks are required.
Responsible for meeting union contractual obligations and to ensure positive working relationships.
Work with management team to develop training programs and department sanitation and safety standards.
Hire, counsel and discipline staff as necessary.
Contribute to communication and social media efforts for the department to ensure excellent marketing and promotion of all dining activities.
Meet with college administrators to plan events.
Develop and maintain standards responsible for ensuring health and safety as directed by local and state health department regulations and college standards.
Supervise and monitor proper use of the Onecard access system, ensuring accountability and controls.

Bachelor's degree in a related area.ServSafe Certification within 90 days of hire for Food Safety and Alcohol Service.Massachusetts Food Allergen Certification within 90 days of hire.
Valid Driver's License
Knowledge of the laws, rules, policies and procedures governing the food service operations.
Knowledge of the types and uses of department and university forms.
Knowledge of Google Applications, CBORD Food Service Suite, Workday.
Understanding of common food allergies and accommodations.
Familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act as it relates to food allergy accommodations.
Current on dining trends as it relates to sustainability, health and wellness.
