Salary Range: $52,000 to 54,000 depending on qualifications

The undergraduate advising team in the School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology is looking to increase our efforts in outreach to prospective students. This new position is a blend of academic advising and recruiting. This person will strengthen the recruiting efforts that currently exist, develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy, and advise a small caseload of current students.
Plans all AHT components of university-sponsored admissions event
Create and implement a recruiting strategy for AHT, including co-leadership of the AHT Ambassadors and managing prospective student visits and events.
Understands university core, AHT majors, and all minors.
Advises incoming and current students within AHT, primarily by assigned caseload, including orientations, registration, degree audits, graduation, and navigation of school, university, and state requirements.
Demonstrates active listening when meeting with students and shows sensitivity to student concerns, referring the student to university support services as applicable.
Performs other duties as assigned within scope of AHT advising.
- Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years academic advising, counseling, higher education, social work, human services with students, young adults or adolescents, or related experience.
or Master's and four (4) years of related work experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in recruiting and/or strong knowledge of recruiting cycles and strategies.
