New York City College of Technology, also known as City Tech, is the largest public technical college in the northeast. The STAR (Scheduling, Testing, Advisement, and Registration) Center at City Tech welcomes applications for the position of Recruitment Manager.
The STAR Center at City Tech is a comprehensive advisement office that welcomes and offers enrollment support to new entering students and incoming transfer students. The Recruitment Unit within the STAR Center provides information to prospective students about academic and opportunity programs. Reporting to the Director of the STAR Center, the Recruitment Manager is a front-facing role directly involved in program planning and execution, and is responsible for increasing awareness and building enthusiasm for New York City College of Technology through student recruitment initiatives, outreach and communication, and specialized events.
The Recruiting Manager will:
Manage the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of enlistment efforts and continue to promote a diverse student population
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate the professional and/or clerical staff
Serve as resource expert regarding academic programs, admission policies, practices, and procedures
Ensure the dissemination of updated information from Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and Advisement
Provide oversight of the College???s website and social media platforms
Collaborate with the college community, other colleges, high schools, and organizations to provide informational materials about degree programs and internships
Organize Open Houses, Accepted Student Day, town halls, Professional Development activities, and seminars
Partner with the Communication department to develop and create digital and print ads
Build and maintain good working relationships with advertising and marketing companies
Ensure the completion and compliance of the college's performance management target/goals
Run queries and generate reports to review and analyze the effectiveness of enrollment, recruitment, and marketing strategies
Leverage data to develop and implement tactics aligned with the College???s onboarding strategy
Participate in outcomes assessment and strategic planning to further enhance enrollment services
Represent the Director at campus-wide and university-wide groups and councils
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Master???s Degree and six (6) years experience as an academic recruiter are strongly preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong research, writing, and analytical competencies.
Extensive experience giving presentations to prospective students, their families, advisors, counselors, and others in partner organizations is highly desirable.
Ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills to execute work plans, manage several assignments, and meet deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment.
Ability to creatively address problems and find solutions.
Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse campus population.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students and to develop a strong working relationship with colleagues, faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni, and general public.
Experience with MS Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams) and CUNYfirst are highly desirable.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as assigned.
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
