The Department of Management in the School of Business at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Management starting August 2023.
We seek candidates whose primary teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and master-level courses in management, with a preference for entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, or leadership. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability or potential to provide highly effective teaching; have a commitment to conducting high-quality scholarly research in the area of specialization, including publishing in peer reviewed journals consistent with the standards of AACSB; advising and mentoring students; and engaging in service to the college community. The School of Business particularly values experiential, student-centered, and innovative teaching approaches and expects faculty members to create active, engaged classrooms.
We are interested in candidates whose research and teaching will connect and integrate with other disciplines and who have the potential to collaboratively contribute to interdisciplinary curricular and scholarly efforts.
Candidates should be committed to inclusive excellence in higher education, demonstrated through, for example, culturally responsive course design and pedagogy, equity-minded student engagement and mentorship, and cultivating intercultural competencies needed for meaningful citizenship.

Linkage to Two Thematic Clusters:
We are especially interested in candidates who could contribute to TCNJ’s thematic cluster of Social/Racial Justice (broadly defined), which is one of two new faculty clusters. The other is Data-/Cyber-connected disciplines. The hires will build-on and expand existing faculty strengths in these areas – with an array of institutional supports for them – bringing a cluster of 11 new teacher-scholars and practitioners across a range of academic fields/departments to TCNJ (Accounting; Computer Science; Counselor Education; Criminology; Engineering; Management; Music; Political Science; Statistics; and Special Education, Language, and Literacy).
Ph.D. in Management or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD candidates may be considered only on the condition of full doctoral completion by August 2023).
Possess a portfolio of experience to date, or demonstrate a teaching/learning philosophy that reflects a diversity of thought and experience—through instruction, research, or experiential learning from a professional/corporate/industrial sector, etc.
Demonstrated evidence of scholarly achievement
Ability to teach courses in entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and/or leadership at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Ability to contribute to TCNJ’s thematic cluster of Social/Racial Justice (broadly defined).
