The "technical advocate" will act as the primary intermediary between the business and the technology delivery team. Apply expertise in technology, business processes and general business knowledge, promote a culture of superior client service and detailed project delivery. Primary lead for coordinating discovery, scope, estimates and case development for new engagements.
Build positive relationships with key client representatives to identify and prioritize opportunities that effectively enable business objectives through technology solutions.
Handle business relationships by collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure that projects, systems and improvements are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
Actively monitor client happiness in light of current projects/outstanding issue status, based upon defined expectations, and take appropriate actions.
Assist business leaders in articulating technology needs and requirements that enable and enhance business performance. Lead pre-project solution approach and estimation efforts to document scope and cost implications of potential technology projects.
Conduct detailed evaluation during pre-concept stages of all engagements.
Build and maintain a clear, prioritized portfolio of projects to articulate client technology needs.
Lead development of cost benefit analysis for client requested technology projects.
Develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and processes and use to develop a business unit technology strategy that enables desired business outcomes.
Effectively engage project teams to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and meet quality and budget requirements.
Dependent on client need and scope of project, participate directly in delivery team efforts.
Work with project management teams to ensure that solutions are delivered efficiently and quality is consistent across projects.
Serve as a focal point for client problem/issue partner concern.
Coordinate resolution of intensified issues with the appropriate help desk, capability domain owner or infrastructure owner.
Provide feedback and champion change within the Technology organization to meet business unit needs and improve technology services and solutions.
Ensure that stakeholders have an understanding of the processes and initiatives for technology delivery and support.
Ensure stakeholders are kept up-to-date on any system performance or availability issues and other business critical matters involving technology related business processes. Bring together, prepare, present and maintain project related information.
Contribute to the completion of project documentation, including updating databases and project team status reports.
Establish and maintain vital metrics, benchmarking, financial and scorecard reporting to monitor and report performance.
Shown business insight with a deep understanding of the business processes, technology services and their relationships.
Effective written and verbal communication skills including with executive level business & technology partners and presentations.
Expert proficiency with the MS Office suite of tools, including MS Visio. Strong collaboration, facilitation, negotiation and problem solving skills.
3+ years program/project management experience that includes experience across the project management life cycle.
Experience with project analysis, estimating, business case development and financial analysis.
Ability to lead through change given initially vague objectives combined with the ability to quickly adapt to changing business environments.
Client relationship management experience and the ability to proactively manage customer expectations.
Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language.
