The IDEA Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the IDEA student management team and working with fellow Mosaic and Northeastern University Center for Entrepreneurship Education (NUCEE) faculty/staff to ensure high quality operation of the IDEA Venture Accelerator program.
Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Hiring and managing co-op positions such as the Altschuler-Meyer CEO position (1x a year) and the IDEA Legal Officer role (3x a year) in partnership with Mosaic Leadership.
Supervision of the venture incubation process guided by the Ready, Set, Go stage gate framework.
Managing and supporting key events such as New Venture Orientation, Stage Gate Workshops, Coaching Office Hours, Business Pitch Evaluations, Gap Fund grant program Application process, Student Investment Committee relations, Pitch evaluation with Board of Advisors Grant fund award process Note: These activities are carried out by a combination of students and NUCEE staff. The Program Manager need not do each item directly but is responsible for coordination of teams and oversight of all activity.
Maintaining key relationships both on and off campus with partners
Relationship management with alumni and investors
Upkeep and improvement of systems related to the program operations and impact reporting.
Bachelor's Degree and 1-5 years of experience with exposure to a startup work environment/culture required. Experience in venture incubation programs and/or venture capital highly preferred. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to communicate complex concepts across an organization. Salesforce Skills preferred.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

2. Relationship Management - The program manager is responsible for maintaining key relationships both on and off campus for IDEA including: IDEA Advisory Board Assisting students in organizing and presenting at quarterly board meetings and follow up Mentor Network referrals Matching ventures with Mentors from the Venture Mentor Network (VMN) Service Providers referrals Connecting ventures with IDEA service providers Investor Network referrals Engaging investors with the program, making introductions to appropriate ventures and encouraging attendance at pitch events IDEA Program Alumni Biannual outreach to launched ventures. The program manager will hire and manage co-op positions such as the Altschuler-Meyer CEO position (1x a year) and the IDEA Legal Officer role (3x a year).
3. Operations: The program manager is responsible for the upkeep and improvement of all systems related to onboarding, tracking and researching venture activity including New Venture Application Form, Stage Gate Evaluation Form, Gap Fund Application Form, Salesforce Database, AWS Credits and Google Cloud credits. All ventures and their founders must be recorded and have their progress tracked in the central SalesForce based system. Annual Reports Generation and improvement of annual reports needed for ranking submissions such as Princeton Review Research Continuous improvement of data capture and analysis.
Support planning of major events like NEXPO and Pitchathon + Represent IDEA at key presentations when requested.
