Ensure a consistent and effective user experience (UX) across the breadth of technology tools. Work with business and technology key stakeholders to develop and maintain user experience tool strategy. Design UX research plans during the strategy definition phase and assist in the execution of the plan. Design new user interfaces, ensure that mobile and desktop applications are powerful, engaging and rewarding by taking a user centered design approach. Act as creative leader, review designs and give creative feedback to fellow UX professionals on the team.
Responsibilities - Lead design efforts in the implementation phase, including the development of wireframes, mock-ups and other project deliverables to illustrate the intended user experience. Ensure accurate documentation of design requirements or Agile stories for the development team, as well as test plans or acceptance criteria for post-development acceptance testing. Ensure that designs meet business strategies and user requirements. Present design ideas, including rationale based on customer research and best practices, to the product development team and other key stakeholders including business leaders
- Effectively manage team work load and ensure knowledge sharing and cross-training of team members to effectively support the business and execute on team/function deliverables. Develop and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching and performance management.
- Build research plans designed to gather quantitative and qualitative information to support informed design decisions.
- Conduct UX research, including competitive research reviews, heuristic reviews, surveys, click studies, card sorting and usability testing. Author and present resulting research reports.
- Actively contribute in the strategy phase of projects, including leading design concepting and the approach for the user experience.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

- 7 -10 years of relevant experience required
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale.
- Proficient prototyping and mockup skills to convey ideas and concepts.
- Experience working with industry standard visualization tools and software (e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision etc.).
- Working knowledge of design fundamentals such as color theory, composition, branding, typography and web design standards.
- Ability to work in both waterfall and agile project processes.
Preferred Qualifications - 1-2+ years of direct people leadership experience.
- Expert level application of technology/engineering knowledge-base to multiple and evolving programs and languages.
- Superior technical communication skills with proven ability to lead and influence others.
- Superior analytical and business skills to reconcile conflicting objectives and find/design acceptable compromises within existing constraints.
- 7+ years of experience coding and/or designing in multiple programming languages, including focused experience in relevant/targeted software stack
- (specific required software stack will vary by position).
- 5+ years of practical experience and proven success with the design and build of complex software applications in multiple environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading highly technical professionals.
- Experience working with vendor partner (on- and off-shore) resources.
