Detailed Job Description Under general direction, supports recruitment and retention of women and underrepresented students in the Golisano College of Computing & Information Sciences at RIT. Manages logistics and administrative activities for all programs, events, presentations, communications, and marketing for Computing Organization for Multicultural Students (COMS) and Women in Computing. Reporting to the Director of Women in Computing (WiC) and Diversity Initiatives and working closely with student leaders, creates an inclusive environment based on best practices in diversity & inclusion.
Acts as program's liaison to senior administrators, department chairs and school directors, and external agencies.
Manages various initiatives including Accepted Student Overnight, Pre-Orientation programming, Kids on Campus summer camps, and the Mobile Tech Lab. This includes all handling all logistics as well as creating and distributing communications and marketing materials, both electronic and print as necessary.
Creates and establishes processes and procedures to operate efficiently and effectively
Provides administrative support to the Director and manages all program operations.
Researches and stays up to date on best practices to support traditionally under-represented groups, provides recommendations to the Director on potential activities and initiatives.
Compile, prepare, monitor data, and make recommendations for grant and foundation proposals.
Assist the director in setting the annual budget, monitor and manage expenses and reconcile monthly procurement card statements.
Hire, train, and supervise student tutors and workers.

5+ years of administrative support experience
Experience in a customer-facing role, evidence of excellent customer service skills
Ability to perform duties with little oversight, organize and prioritize work, solve problems independently, anticipate next steps and potential problems
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different interpersonal styles and varying priorities
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Comfort with using technology and learning new technologies independently to improve work
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
