The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation for the Office of Student Engagement.
Serve as liaison between students, administration staff, university faculty, vendors, members to facilitate the success of student programs and events. Provide leadership for all student organizations, including the annual registration, maintenance of records, contracts and manage the student organizations through monthly trainings. Â Provide additional support for operations and updates using the PVPaw Link (formally Collegiate Link). Provide professional support and oversight to all student organizations, including recruitment, registration, transition processes, constitution review, and financial policies. Develop and coordinate co-curricular support programs, trainings and services to enhance student engagement, learning and success through our student organizations. Trains and manage all student involvement in PVPAW Link (CampusLabs Engage) coordinating the usage by student organizations and developing new ways the university can get students involved on campus.
Host the mandatory risk management trainings, host monthly organization development trainings to organization leaders and advisors to ensure compliance with state regulations, university policies and procedures. Assist student organizations in the event planning process including speaker requests, space reservations, marketing, collaboration, funding, and other special needs. Implement the Standards of Excellence award program for student organizations for campus recognition. Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act. Assist with the collaboration of several campus-wide and traditional events, for example: Homecoming, Week of Welcome, Welcome Back Week, and Spring Fest. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Engagement.
Participate in national, regional, and local professional development opportunities as available. Serve on university, department, and unit committees as assigned. Responsible for staying abreast with best practices associated with college student engagement.

Required Education and Experience:
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Two or more years of related work experience in a university or community college environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with technology and social media.
Experience with managing budgets, planning student activities, and advising student groups.
Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff members, and outside constituencies.
