Job Summary
This role is a key member of the IUAA Senior Management Team, providing operational leadership, implementing operational efforts, and guiding strategic directions of the organization. This role works with the Chief Executive in planning and implementing strategic directions of the organization. Responsibilities include IUAA strategic plan management including guiding the implementation team, managing quarterly outcomes reporting for the organization, and leading exploration of new strategic initiatives.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Supports day to day management of operations of the organization, implementing operational efforts, working with the Chief Executive on strategic directions and planning for the association.
Strategic plan implementation and management including guiding and directing the strategic plan staff leads.
Develops quarterly reporting, and an annual report of strategic plan outcomes to staff, Board, and other stakeholders.
Makes recommendations on phases of plan implementation.Leads IUAA quarterly reporting on outcomes, directs and supports other staff responsible for elements of reporting, and ensures timely reports to staff, Board, and other stakeholders.
Roles include special assignments from the Chief Executive
Reviews, streamlines, or manages organizational processes or procedures.
Provides leadership to , direction and oversight of IUAA Project Managers.
General Responsibilities
Provides highest level of operational leadership and coordination of assigned staff members to define project management methodologies and standards; provides direction and guidance on high priority project management projects/initiatives.
Establishes short-term business plans and long-term operational objectives, including managing project timelines/deliverables and developing resource plans for multi-project/multi-phase web project management initiatives.
Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
Conducts a variety of personnel actions to include, but not limited to hiring, promotion, performance management, and dismissal.
Manages high level assignments and allocation of technical resources, including negotiating and coordinating initiatives that involve staff in other departments/areas/teams; may coordinate large-scale web projects with a wide audiences.
Makes budgetary recommendations/proposals based on resource needs and ensures cost containment.
Works collaboratively with other project management leaders across departments in recommending standards, best practices, and related policies/procedures.
Prepares management reports and summaries for senior administration, executive, steering and advisory committees; acts as advisor to executive committees; serves on various university committees, communities of practice, and task forces related to project management.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
