The Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) is part of the Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego and physically located at Rady Children's Hospital. CASRC researchers study the implementation of evidence-based practices for children with a range of mental health and developmental problems in community care settings.
Under supervision of the Center Principal Investigators and Center Coordinator, the incumbent will assist with a variety of tasks supporting the Center for Team Effectiveness to Accelerate EBP Implementation in Children's Mental Health Services (TEAMS). The TEAMS Center uses organizational team effectiveness research to develop and test novel team-based implementation strategies, methods, and tools to improve the reach, quality, and effectiveness of care delivered in public systems serving children with mental health needs.
Under supervision, primary responsibilities includes working closely with the coordinators and investigative teams at the collaborating university and community sites to ensure consistency of processes and procedures. Supporting the essential infrastructure for the community engagement and trial activities of the Center. Supporting all IRB management through the University of California's IRB Reliance agreement and online system. Supporting implementation of the detailed protocol for risk assessment used for Data Safety and Monitoring. Coordinating with the investigatory teams of the Center Projects to facilitate recruitment of community organizations and co-lead community engagement activities. Maintaining the Center website and developing content for social media platforms (twitter, YouTube, etc.).
Providing administrative and technical support for Center webinar series. Working closely with coordinators, investigative teams, and data managers, support the evaluation of individual Center projects and overall impact. This includes (though is not limited to) the preparation, administration, and management of web-based surveys, as well as the collection and data entry of altmetric scores, website, and social media platform analytics. General project tasks including but not limited to preparing meeting minutes, attending research and community partner meetings, literature searches, data entry, web-based survey development and distribution, report and manuscript preparation.
Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
Previous experience in a research setting involving human subjects, specifically individuals with mental health conditions, caregivers of individuals with mental health conditions, and/or health care providers.
Proven experience in processing research data for mental health implementation research, in keeping with IRB and HIPAA approved methods of security and storage; proven ability to score and double score standardized assessments.
Experience working closely with coordinators, investigative teams, and data managers, support the evaluation of individual Center projects and overall impact which includes (though is not limited to) the preparation, administration, and management of web-based surveys, as well as the collection and data entry of altmetric scores, website, and social media platform (Twitter, Youtube) analytics.
Experience and familiarity with childhood mental health. Proven knowledge of evidence-based treatments. Proven knowledge of psychological and mental health terms. Proven knowledge of implementation science terms. Proven knowledge of team effectiveness research terms.
Working knowledge of safety, legal, cultural and regulatory requirements relative to field research responsibility.
