We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of RFP and Consultant Relations, Asia.
Together with team, completes RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for Institutional and Wholesale clients in Asia Pacific, focusing on Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Korea, Japan and Taiwan as well as other English-speaking markets when workload permits; and consultants queries for selected AM capabilities and funds
Builds strong professional relationships and works closely with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts to ensure high quality articulation to clients of AM investment philosophy, capabilities, processes and funds
Works with RFP colleagues in other regions to support cross-border RFPs, RFIs and other client documents
Supports Global Head of RFP in building the regional and global RFP function
Contribute to business growth through high quality and timely submission of compelling and client-focused RFPs and RFIs, including correct messaging??
Effective management of priorities and workload with colleagues across Asia Pacific region (namely in Sales, Investment and Client Service, as well as colleagues in partner business functions such as HR and Compliance) and in other RFP teams
Efficient allocation of RFP resources, to enable timely delivery to clients and optimal support on the strongest new business opportunities
Effective bid / no bid decision making support in relation to AM business opportunities
High quality and timely submissions, including correct messaging
High quality and timely updating of consultant databases to support the AM Consultant Relations strategy
Development and management of high quality and timely content, including Asia Pacific and Global product and firm information
Compliance with global content management requirements and full use of global tools such as RFP Standard Content and new RFP management tool (Loopio)
Maintains a strong understanding of the marketplace and related customer requirements
Maintains a strong understanding of AM capabilities and funds in this context
University degree or equivalent qualification required, preferably with an investment or finance focus
Detailed knowledge of RFPs, RFIs and related client documents, including regulations, AM compliance requirements and delivery processes
Sound understanding of investment products and markets and client requirements
Ability to create content proactively for new investment solutions or descriptions where needed, with close cooperation with investment teams, investment specialists, portfolio managers
Good knowledge of performance systems, reporting systems, third party performance databases and institutional reporting standards (GIPS)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin. Excellent written skills for selected RFPs using simplified Chinese (mainland China), traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
Excellent investment writing skills, and good oral discussion / presentation / overall communication skills
Strong project and staff management skills
Ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and their sometimes conflicting expectations and requirements
Outstanding attention to detail, commitment to high quality work standards and the ability to ensure quality standards are maintained under time and stakeholder pressure
Leadership spirit to take full responsibility for delivering the documents required; ability to build consensus between departments with different objectives
Able to prioritise effectively and maintain positive attitude in fast-moving work situations
