Associate Director of BRACE (Building Resources and Academic Enrichment) Marianapolis Preparatory School seeks a motivated, energetic and supportive education professional to work with the Academic Team as the Associate Director of BRACE. The Director of BRACE reports directly to the School Counselor & Academic Resource Advisor. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Classroom Teachers, Department Chairs, and various leadership groups in support of the students in their care and the implementation of programs that best serve the mission and values of Marianapolis Preparatory School and its community. The Associate Director of BRACE will provide individual and small group assistance to students in the Center, clarifying learning difficulties, working on study skills, providing and thus improving academic achievement. This position will support the academic needs of those students diagnosed with learning differences as well as students who need any level of academic support. More specifically, the Associate Director of BRACE will:
- Create and implement lesson plans for skill development for students with learning differences, including, but not limited to executive functioning, writing, reading comprehension and mathematical functions. - Manage school-based accommodations, including regular communication with school personnel and the student's family regarding the student’s progress and areas of growth. - Collaborate with the Academic Resource Advisor in writing educational profiles based on neuropsychological evaluations. - Participate in grade level meetings, student support team meetings and academic team meetings

In addition, the full-time position includes: advising, participation as an athletic coach or activities leader for two seasons each year, and involvement in residential life —understanding that the typical commitment involves both after school activities and weeknight-weekend supervision.
