The IT Business Office provides human resources, administration, and financial support to ITS staff and management as well as billing customer service and software distribution to the campus community. It consists of several units - Human Resources & Administration, Finance, IT Procurement, and Inventory Management.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position uses professional concepts to provide financial analysis and accounting under the direction of the Financial Analyst & Recharge Operations Supervisor team. Applies organizational policies and procedures to analyze and resolve various issues. Responsible for researching and analyzing financial data from various sources to determine the budget versus spend performance for the department and its units. Responsible for gathering, researching and analyzing of data for the development and presentation of recharge data. Processes all financial transactions in support of departmental operations.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing activities relating to the billing, auditing and analyzing of a broad range of customer service requests, vendor invoices and recharges for the campus
- Independently performs and presents analyses to show trends, variance explanations, batch validations, workload data and billing discrepancies, making recommendations for solutions as well as adjusting where appropriate
- Serves as a subject matter expert for ITS self-supporting activities. Responds to customer inquiries and provides investigatory analyses.
- Collaborate internally and externally to review and reconcile complex and large data sets; will lead and drive efforts related to reporting and financial statement analysis.
- Identifies and creates standard operating procedure documentation for owned business processes. Shares, presents, and proposes new/ efficient findings upon discovery.
- Employee must be available to work evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or an equivalent combination of experience/training.
Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Demonstrated skill to analyze, formulate solutions, and resolve problems in the absence of higher authorities while maintaining professional relationships.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
