The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences has experienced substantial growth of our clinical research portfolio. It has evolved from conducting a small handful of clinical research studies to supporting a large and growing number of complex sponsored and investigator-initiated studies. In addition, the department has committed to providing new treatment studies under the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Expanded Access.
The Research Compliance Assistant will review and process all research protocols for submission to the various IUPUI research review boards. This includes the development of the consent form, HIPAA authorization form, summary safeguard statement, and other IRB-required forms specific to each protocol. Additionally, this position will develop and submit documents for new studies, study amendments, continuing reviews, and prompt reports. The compliance assistant will serve as an advisor for faculty and research staff regarding federal regulations, IRB and other institutional policies, and other requirements by which their research may be regulated, and will serve as a liaison between IU Radiology and Imaging Sciences and regulatory organizations.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in healthcare, research or regulated industry.
Working Conditions / Demands
The role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
