The Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Support Specialist within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) acts as primary support to business owners and stakeholders utilizing SCL Healthâ™s PPM tool. This position is responsible for training EPMO associates as well as functional team leads (resource managers) who interact with the PPM tool.  This role plays a key role in support of the PPM data and its integrity, as well as the accuracy of all project resource plans.

Your day.

As an EPMO Program Manager, you need to know how to:

• Be involved in the overall planning and management of approved programs, including the set of related projects, assigned project managers and integral program resources. 


• Ensure all EPMO programs meet budget, schedule and scope requirements, and standard project management practices. 


• Monitor major risks across all projects and coordinates management of critical/escalated issues. 


• Provide executive/stakeholder communication on major projects, program status, project resources and risk / issue mitigation. Coordinates with PM(s) on key messaging. 


• Consult with business owners as a trusted advisor to assist with program roadmap aligned with organizational strategies and plan for multi-phase project delivery.


• Manage continuous improvement for program and project management. Responsible for organizing, staffing, budgeting, directing, planning and controlling the program 7. Partners with the program sponsors 


• Manage stakeholder expectations, identifies and monitors risks and issues; escalates risks and critical issues as appropriate


• Responsible for managing scope, developing and managing project plan; Schedules project work to ensure deadlines are met; reports project status weekly


• Follow the EPMO project management standards and process 

Your experience.

• Bachelorâ™s degree in Business, Technology, Project Management or Healthcare or relevant field, or equivalent yearâ™s experience, required.


• Ten (10) years of experience as a project manager, required.

Preferred

• Masterâ™s degree in Business, Technology, Project Management or Healthcare or relevant field, preferred.


• Five (5) years experience managing complex programs, preferred.
