The Associate Director of Financial Aid Operations reports to the Director of Financial Aid and will work as part of a multi-functional team The Associate Director will:
?? Manage all aspects of the Financial Aid Service Center which includes both in-person and virtual services provided to students and parents.
?? Ensure that students and other internal constituents experience high levels of customer service across: in-person, phone, email, and live agent modalities.
?? Supervise and provide leadership to Financial Aid Counselors and Specialists This includes training and review of work.
?? Ensure that Federal Title IV compliance is maintained at all times and oversee Title IV disbursement, Verification, Return to Title IV processes and reconciliation of funds.
?? Review and process Professional Judgement Requests.
?? Responsible for assisting with the annual independent Title IV audit. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to Title IV activities.
?? Train all other staff periodically regarding new procedures, federal requirements, problems, issues, etc.
?? Oversee and update CUNYfirst, federal and other systems as necessary. Run queries and reports needed to identify and resolve any potential issues/problems.
?? Assist in day-to-day office operations, conduct special projects as assigned, and perform related duties when required.
?? Participate in College Orientations and other campus meetings as requested/required
?? Attend CUNY Financial Aid Council meetings when required and provide updates to Director and all financial aid staff.
?? Oversee the financial aid operations in the absence of the Director, on a temporary basis as needed.
??Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen.
