Job Duties:

• 50% Provide academic and personal counseling;
• 15% Provide mental health crisis intervention;
• 15% Provide psycho-education, programming, & presentations;
• 10% Provide students, faculty, and staff consultations & provide supervision for peer tutors, peer mentors, and graduate assistants (GAs); and,
• 10% Perform other duties as assigned (i.e. committees, professional development, teaching NURS 3005, graduation, etc.).

Minimum Education/Experience:

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology or appropriate mental health field.
• North Carolina licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker.
• Commitment to a proactive student development perspective involving an active relationship with the campus community.
• A self-directed team player prepared to handle a busy caseload with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability and skills to work with a diverse population.
• Knowledge of trends, theories, and effective models in college counseling and student development.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical issues in the area of counseling.
