Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition Campus Recruiting Team. The Recruiter will be responsible for supporting and executing recruitment strategies that attract college students to Ameriprise for internships, rotational programs, and entry level positions in addition to assisting with onboarding and summer internship programing. This position reports to the Director-Talent Acquisition and is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for designated Business Units, including recruiting candidates, guiding hiring leaders and candidates through the recruitment process, developing relationships with internal and external business partners, assisting with onboarding and summer programing, and ad hoc projects.
Collaborate with the campus recruiting team to execute recruiting strategies that attract high-quality diverse talent for campus and entry level positions.
Manage and lead the recruiting process for designated Business Units. Communicate and build relationships with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to understand business objectives and hiring needs to fill open positions and build a pipeline for future opportunities.
Deliver a positive experience to candidates and serve as the primary contact for recruits throughout the interviewing process -- communicating status, answering questions, extending offers, and coordinating all follow-up activity.
Build and enhance strong relationships with internal and external partners that help increase our exposure to prospects within diverse communities.
Identify potential issues or concerns during the recruitment process through understanding of HR Compliance.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics related to recruitment at colleges/university (i.e., information sessions, career fairs) and interviewing (i.e., establishes interviewing dates, solicits and schedules interviewers, prepares interviewing materials).
During Fall and Spring recruiting seasons, be available to work evening hours, in addition to traveling to colleges and universities to support campus recruiting events.
Work with campus career offices and student organizations to arrange campus and on-site workshops that engage students with our leadership and functional teams.
Actively participate in the planning and execution of activities and programs associated with the Summer Internship Program, which includes onboarding, learning and development, social, and volunteer events.
Assist with Ad Hoc projects
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience, including 1-3 years experience in recruiting with demonstrated ability to effectively source, screen, and hire candidates with compliant practices.
Demonstrated experience adhering to compliant hiring practices and utilizing a consultative approach with hiring leaders at varying levels.
Strong PC skills, such as with the Microsoft Suite, applicant tracking systems, prospect management tools, and social media techniques.
Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak seasons.
Campus recruiting experience encompassing at least one full cycle of full time, intern and summer programming experience.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills that support interactions and relationship-building with candidates and internal partners.
Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ATS systems.
