Stanford University has an immediate opening for a full-time Social Worker applicant within the Confidential Support Team, a compassionate office that provides trauma-informed support for students impacted by sexual and relationship violence. This position is integral to creating a healing space for the students we serve and helping them to navigate complex systems on and off campus.

The Stanford Confidential Support Team (CST) is a unit of Vaden Health Services within the division of Student Affairs which centers its work on ensuring that students feel connected and engaged with the greater campus community and each other. CST supports connection, healing, and thriving among Stanford students impacted by sexual, relationship, and gender-based violence through confidential, trauma-informed consultation, counseling, and outreach. JOB PURPOSE:
Provide crisis intervention, case management, clinical consultation, individual and group counseling and psychotherapy, and outreach programming for students impacted by sexual and relationship violence.
In this role, you will:
Respond to crisis situations and provide consultation to on-campus partners and off-campus providers for urgent/crisis situations.
Provide a wide range of trauma-informed direct clinical services in response to experiences of sexual assault or relationship violence within a diverse student population (e.g., consultation, crisis support, brief emotional support, individual and group therapy, on and off campus treatment planning, on-call services).
Liaise between CST and student community centers.
Provide education about rights and reporting options and resources available on and off campus. Support students in navigating campus and off-campus resources and pursuing university and criminal processes related to campus sexual and relationship violence.
Provide case management support for students including assistance with financial resources for mental health access, development of care plans and coordination of referrals to on and off campus resources, helping students to access academic and residential resources.
Provide outreach and consultation to university students, staff, and faculty about campus resources and how to provide trauma-informed support to students.
Collaborate with the CST Clinical Care Manager in managing clinical flow to ensure accessibility and quality of care.
Work with university staff, faculty, and administrators in consultation, outreach, and other collaborative initiatives.
Partner with campus and community programs to coordinate relevant processes and referrals (e.g., CAPS, SHARE, Title IX, DPS).
Provide services that include in-person, phone and telehealth support for students, allowing for combination of on-site and remote work.
Participate in Vaden Health Center meetings, trainings, outreach workshops, clinical and other development activities; complete special projects as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Master's degree in Social Work, counseling, or a related field, and two years post licensure experience.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor in California
Expertise in clinical skills in consultation, evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapy
Experience working with transitional aged youth and sexual/relationship violence
Ability to develop strong relationships with students and other constituents in a warm and professional manner
Demonstrated skills in consultative work with professional colleagues, experience in collaborative work across systems of care and with multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge and embodiment of diversity and inclusion best practices; experience providing clinical support for individuals from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds; ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds
Willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic and changing environment, work effectively under pressure, and maintain positive relationships with team members
Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and management
Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills
Relevant computer systems/technology experience (e.g., electronic medical records systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Box, and Google Drive)
In addition, preferred skills and experiences include:
Excellent organizational skills including an ability to oversee a wide variety of activities, to define pitfalls, to propose and implement effective solutions, while being able to balance competing priorities.
High level of energy, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
Student development knowledge and experience in college/university settings.
Bi- or multi-lingual therapy skills
