Basic Functions:
Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admission manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admission, including supervision and evaluation of all office personnel. Manages prospective student outreach, recruitment, evaluation, admission, and yield. Responsible for achieving all individual and office goals established by the Vice President. Represents the Vice President at meetings and serves as a senior advisor to the Vice President.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide overall leadership for all admission-related activities of the University. Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admission.
Supervise and direct the actions and evaluate the performance of all office personnel. Promote a highly relational, customer-service oriented culture.
Work with the Vice President for Enrollment Management to establish strategic, data-driven policies and processes that further the goals of the University.
Participate in institutional planning and policy development regarding enrollment and student retention.
Provide data-driven guidance for all aspects of student recruitment programs and initiatives, develop reports, and write executive summaries.
Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to ensure smooth and coordinated admission and financial aid processes.
Work with other campus and external constituents to promote a seamless recruitment, admission, and enrollment experience for new students.
Travel on behalf of the University for student recruitment and to promote institutional visibility; participate and lead recruitment events; develop and execute strategies to engage counselors, alumni, family, and friends of the University; conduct interviews; evaluate applications; and advise students, parents, and counselors on matters related to admission and financial aid.
Meet individual and overall application and enrollment goals as defined by the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Represent the University in a professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience in admission or enrollment management in higher education or transferrable skills (e.g., business development, continuous improvement, marketing, supply chain) from the corporate or non-profit sectors.
Must have a current, valid driver's license and must be insurable under Denison's liability insurance policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree.
