What we do: The function is responsible for the management, governance and oversight of data for the Asset Servicing and Digital (ASD) business globally.
The candidate will be responsible for working with individual lines of business (LOB) or within specific areas within ASD to support the creation of an end vision around data governance, define roadmaps to deliver the vision, write requirements documentation and drive development and adoption with technology and operations teams to materialize the vision. The candidate will engage with LOB stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME's), provide data expertise to them, document the data universe of that LOB, help the LOB navigate governance requirements and structure the data organization. The candidate will also support implementing bank wide initiatives within ASD.
Key areas of focus but not limited to these, include:
Support the implementation of reference Masters
Articulate the benefits of the Masters and define integration in the context of ASD
Engage ASD stakeholders across all product lines in Product, OPS and Tech and get their buy-in
Develop project plans and execute against those plans
Manage communications on the execution
Help coordinate and support all the data requirements for key projects relating to both external and internal audit and business requirements.
Support the roll out the data architecture strategy and data by design initiatives.
The candidate will also have an opportunity to engage with asset servicing clients and prospects to understand their data needs and usage to deliver client relevant solutions as a part of developing data products.
The successful candidate will: Display the following:
- Extensive understanding of Asset Servicing operations and technology with more detailed knowledge in one or two product lines like custody and fund accounting
- Strong data analytical skills,
- A keen interest and expertise in data management and some experience in data governance.
- Candidates who are conversant with date warehousing , big data and data governance technologies will be a huge plus.
- Possess strong presentation skills and the ability to rapidly develop rapport with internal / external senior leaders to gain trust and confidence.
- Able to co-ordinate multiple service organizations and stakeholders across the Enterprise Chief Data Office, Technology, Product, Operations, Clients and other groups to deliver the expected outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications: - Degree level or professional equivalent educated and or equivalent work experience.
- 10-15+ years' experience within the Asset Servicing Industry or within financial services.
- Strong Asset Servicing or operational background preferred
