Licensed marriage and family therapist provides all aspects of psychosocial services including diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, care coordination, case management, and brief individual, family and group therapy in the child outpatient clinic at Outpatient Psychiatry Services- La Jolla. In addition, incumbent will serve as liaison with other UCSD Department and Division providers, to schools, social services and community health partners as well as participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in tracking caseloads and outcomes data.

Clinical responsibilities will include working as part of an outpatient program to provide individual, family and group therapy as well as psycho-education, case management and screening and assessment services to children ages 5-17 and their families, as well as transitional aged youth aged 18 through early 20's. The position will require skills in brief psychotherapy including life skills, stress management techniques, mindfulness exercises and psychoeducation, along with using multiple modalities including, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master's Degree in related area.

• Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in the State of California.

• Minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience in healthcare settings.

• Experience/training in evidence-based therapy modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health services to diverse children and families.

• Demonstrated experience to intervene in crisis management situations.
