This position is responsible for the scholarship awarding process, utilizing the Award Management online system, which is part of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (RE) database. This includes ensuring that all funds and criteria are entered into the application system, training and communicating with volunteer reviewers, and working with Delta's internal OIT office on technical issues. This position also oversees the creation and maintenance of Delta College Foundation's constituent database, and is responsible for the integrity of all accompanying data. Efforts will include a focus on database and donor research, development of prospect profiles and the oversight of how that data will be incorporated into the RE database, allowing for future access. This position maintains some contact with students, high school administrators, donors/prospective donors, corporations/charitable foundations/community members and colleagues throughout the year.

Student scholarship process:
Manage the online scholarship awarding process, ensuring that all funds and criteria are entered into the online scholarship application system, which tracks, rates, and awards all scholarships.
Recruit and train volunteers who review all of the scholarship applications.
Respond to calls, emails and visits from students applying online each year
Collaborate with Delta's internal Office of Information Technology (OIT Department), and the external vendor, to trouble shoot technical issues.
Assign scholarships to student recipients, then control the notification process to those students.
Inform the Financial Aid Office of the student recipient names for scholarships, prior to the payment deadline. Also inform area high schools about graduating seniors who may be receiving scholarship dollars from Delta.
Handle incoming calls and visits from students asking questions about the scholarship process.
When problems or changes occur, such as notification that a student has decided not to attend Delta College, facilitate re-awarding the scholarship to another applicant.
Generate annual letters to scholarship donors, featuring the status of distribution levels (if endowed) and communication from the student(s) who received their scholarship.
Establish relationships with area high school counselors and Delta employees (Admissions representatives, Counseling and Advising, Faculty), to encourage students to apply for scholarships.
Data integrity and database maintenance:
Responsible for the maintenance of the Raiser's Edge donor database and records, as well as procedures to ensure security, accuracy, integrity and efficiency of database program and its use. This will ensure the department remains PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant.
Perform record uploads of alumni data from the College's Registrar, adding graduates into the database system, including all degree information.
Develop standards and policies for data entry, and ensure staff follow proper standards when handling gift processing duties so Delta College has accurate and complete data on alumni, donors and prospects.
Develop policies and procedures for gift receipting, acknowledgement, gift notification, pledge reminders, and other system related functions and processes. Assure the integrity of data and records by being responsible for the deletion of duplicate records and the development of appropriate record coding.
Assist with small- and large-scale data manipulation and data load projects.
Structure data for analytics; generate reports to support strategic campaigns and initiatives.
Donor research:
Collaborate as needed with the Foundation team to research, organize, and evaluate a prospect's financial capacity, ability to give, willingness to give, charitable interests, and connection to the organization.
Assist with producing in-depth, well-written reports on prospects based on a combination of data from the donor database, available financial records, real estate ownership, and other markers of high potential or capacity donors.
Assist in creating briefings for the use of the Foundation team and work with other development staff to optimize the College's fundraising strategies.
Develop practical uses for metrics, prospect management and research information tools. Implement oversight of correct donor and prospect information in the Blackbaud system, including address and profile changes, as well as changes in
