Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Alumni and Family Engagement. The Alumni and Family Engagement Assistant Director will be primarily responsible for project management and event planning for the office of Alumni and Family Engagement (AFE). This includes helping organize all AFE activities, participating in events on and off campus, and recording and documenting information for alumni and families. Participating in the Trinity community as a representative of the AFE office will be required. Externally, they will be entrusted with marketing AFE activities, working alongside Trinity’s marketing team to communicate the vision and detail necessary for final product to be delivered in a timely fashion. Candidates should have knowledge and experience working in social media for the purposes of communicating College news and events to an alumni and family audience; researching new opportunities to engage with alumni and families; collecting information updates and increasing the alumni and parent engagement. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Work with the Senior Director to plan and execute annual goals and objectives for the office.
Organize and market projects and events to alumni and families from beginning to end, utilizing website, email platform and database to maximize attendance and engagement.
Be an outward facing presence to both alumni and families at College functions and events.
Utilize existing Troll Nation Network community, connecting alumni, parents, and friends to current students, staff, and faculty for the benefit of the College.
Sustain and enhance marketing efforts from the College to alumni and families through print, email and social media, coordinating with the College Marketing and Communications office.
Seek to increase the alumni and family giving rates through engagement, collaborating with the Advancement office for appeals and campaigns
Maintain data collection processes and database integrity. Record information updates on a regular basis, working with Director of. Advancement Services to continuously improve alumni and family data accuracy.
Strive to broaden knowledge of industry best practices, interacting with peer institutions, alumni advisors, family advisors, listservs, etc., and continuously researching new opportunities to engage with alumni and parents
Partner with other areas of the Advancement Division as needed, including Annual Giving, Advancement Services and Gift Officers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Alumni and Family Engagement
A Bachelor’s degree is required with two to five years of related experience. Previous experience working in events or communications is preferred.

Demonstrate quality writing, editing and proofing skills
Detail and goal oriented
Strong organizational and project management skills
Being an Alum of the College is not required, but will be beneficial in this role
Willingness and ability to accommodate occasional evening and weekend hours
Valid U.S. driver’s license
