This position is part of a group within the Ameriprise Financial, Inc. General Counsel's Organization that provides legal support within the company. Support will be provided to four of the group's lawyers and their teams, whose focus areas include regulatory affairs, litigation and employment law. This position supports a range of administrative activities, including scheduling meetings and overall calendar management, filing, business travel planning, expense reimbursement, coordinating group programs or special events, managing small business as usual projects, and responding to ad hoc requests.
Responsibilities ???Schedule meetings and handle meeting logistics.
???Manage calendars.
???Make travel arrangements.
???Prepare expense reports.
???Respond to ad hoc requests, like copying, scanning, uploading or password-protecting documents.
???Support production of documents or other information to regulators or others, as needed.
???Maintain records in accordance with retention policies and procedures.
???Help facilitate the adoption of best practices across the broader team.
???Frequently interact with members of the General Counsel's Organization, business partners, and possibly financial advisors and their leaders in the field.
Required Qualifications ???High School or GED
???3-5 years of relevant experience required.
???Ability to plan and balance multiple tasks and independently prioritize competing tasks in a highly dynamic environment.
???Ability to anticipate needs and use independent judgment given limited availability of leaders.
???Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality critical to handling sensitive information.
???Ability to adapt to different cultures and styles.
???Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
???Thorough and meticulous.
???Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish positive relationships internally and externally.
???Upbeat, service-oriented individual with a positive attitude.
