The Office of Student Life and Enrollment is accepting applications for a full-time temporary Coordinator in the Dr. Patricia Robertson Pride Center. The Coordinator provides day-to-day management of the Dr. Patricia Robertson Pride Center space and Center sponsored programs and activities. The Coordinator will provide appropriate support, a connection to resources, and referrals to on-campus and off-campus services to students, faculty, and staff. Directs Center strategic planning, implementation, and assessment. The Coordinator will engage in advocacy and leadership through work on committees and task forces, representing the Pride Center broadly, throughout the institution and with external constituents. The Coordinator will serve as a member of the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center team and will inform and seek collaboration from that team, as appropriate. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day responsibilities include providing leadership, support for community learning and student development, and strategic planning for the Center.
Advocates for an institutional commitment to understanding and addressing LGBTQIA+ issues and concerns contributing an inclusive and supportive campus climate that increases the likelihood of retention and academic success for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff.
Partner with Institutional Effectiveness to determine methods for assessing/tracking wellness and success measures among the LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and student populations.
Partner to design and deliver an array of educational and awareness programs and campus-wide trainings for faculty, staff, students and community members about the LGBTQIA+ community and related issues including, such as Safe Zone, ally trainings, in-class presentations, and community workshops on LGBTQIA+ topics.
Assess training needs through focus groups, unit consultations and national benchmarking and develop new trainings to respond to identified needs.
Provide support and assistance to LGBTQIA+ student organizations and advisors in partnership with the Carrier Center.
Provide advocacy and advice to university administration on issues of diversity and LGBTQIA+ equity, including policy updates, campus environment concerns, and national trends.
Serve on committees, advisory groups, and task forces for large initiatives to advocate on gender and sexuality issues.
Analyze programming regularly for effectiveness, including formal assessments as warranted.
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of Center staff; develop and maintain process for work and project flow for the staff.
Manage Center budget, in consultation with the Director of the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center.
Partner to develop and implement leadership-training programs for undergraduate and graduate students as well as opportunities to develop skills as activists, peer coaches, and advisors.
Collaborate regularly with Office of Equity and Inclusion, the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center, the Carrier Center, the Women's Resource Center, and other campus partners and key stakeholders in the coordination of support resources and services for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff.
Partner with Admissions to promote the Center and LGBTQIA+ student support services and opportunities to potential ETSU students.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
