Based in a University-wide, interdisciplinary research center, the Assistant Director for Grants Administration (ADGA) is an integral member of the Photonics Center Staff for sponsored program administration, including research and training programs. The ADGA provides direct support and management of proposal preparation and submission including budget development, annual account and subaward setup, as well as post-award management, including annual budget development for complex, multi-institutional large-scale grants, compliance, support and tracking for annual reports. The ADGA serves as administrative liaison for sub-award partners, and internally with the PI and BU departments, including preparation of internal BU forms. Activities often involve team coordination across multiple institutions for interdisciplinary collaborations, as well as strategic advice, critical review, project management and logistical support for large-scale, complex collaborations. The ADGA is a resource for advising faculty and Center staff on best practices for responsiveness to federal and private funding solicitations, proposal development, budgeting, subaward processing, post-award management and compliance encompassing sponsor and University perspectives. This will extend to support of other University-wide centers as needed.
