Admissions – Boarding Recruitment and Ambassador Program

Job Summary
As a member of the Office of Admissions, this position will report to the Director of Enrollment Management and will work closely and collaboratively with members of the Office of Admissions and Residential Life staff. The Admissions Counselor serves as an ambassador of TMI Episcopal and authentically and dynamically communicates the value of a TMI education. The Admissions Counselor will recruit students for our boarding program and will also oversee TMI’s Student Ambassador Program in conjunction with coordinating campus visits for all prospective students.
Essential Job Duties
Work collaboratively with the admissions team in all aspects of the boarding admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, including fielding questions, scheduling parent and student visits, conducting student interviews, and follow-up communication.
Uses independent judgment to assess the quality of admission candidates and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee to review files, recommend, and select candidates for admission.
Utilizes SchoolAdmin, an Admissions CRM, to manage prospect records, including maintaining appropriate notes and communications about student and parent interactions.
Conducts training for all Student Ambassadors and oversees Student Shadow Day Program and overnight boarding visits for all prospective students.
Works to build and maintain relationships with Diocesan schools and coordinate external recruitment activities at school fairs, parent-sponsored coffees, open houses, and other admission programs. Domestic and international travel is required.
Collaborates with the Admissions Team in the production of strategic, persuasive marketing and recruitment materials.
Identifies opportunities to expand recruitment to reach new markets and increase effectiveness within existing markets.
Develops and oversees new and existing admission initiatives addressing boarding recruitment, student diversity, new student experience, student onboarding, and parent ambassadors.
Assists with new student onboarding and Residential Life Orientation for both returning and new students.
Willing to complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.

Experience
Five-plus years of relevant professional experience in admissions/recruitment, preferably in an educational and boarding school setting.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
