The Program Manager of Koch Center for Family Business in the Olin Business School is responsible for driving the strategic plan set forth by Olinâ™s Koch Center Director. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, communicating, and directing all aspects of the program. This includes helping to promote the Program to potential partners and managing corporate relations. This person reports directly to the Programâ™s Director.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications Strategy
In conjunction with the Center Director and Olin marketing develops and initiates strategies to maintain programâ™s website, related marketing materials.
Develops and publishes collateral for events and promotions.Â This includes a monthly newsletter and a downstream podcast.Â
Establishes and manages the Programâ™s Linkedin and Twitter accounts, posting relevant content about the programsâ™ evens and relevant 3rd party content.Â
Develops and implements new and creative ways to strengthen brand equity and visibility, as well as drive engagement and participation with the center.
Support Program Development
Works closely with the Center Director to refine emergent program ideas to ensure implementation is aligned with the centers strategic plan.
Relationship Development and Management
Manages all relationships with the program.Â Primary focus is with industry relationships such as those currently engaged with the Program, a mix of Family Business, Family Office, and Family Philanthropy leaders.Â In addition, the Program manager will seek net-new relationships with those who might potentially find value with the program in the form of strategic outreach.Â Other key relationships include Olinâ™s Center for Experiential Learning, Corporate Relations team, Advancement Team, Entrepreneurship Program, Bauer Leadership program and the Skandalaris Center.Â Will seek to relationships with key Olin alumni (or regional leaders) who are involved in family business leadership roles that might make for natural partners.
Manages all aspects (planning and execution) of the Programâ™s physical, virtual, and hybrid events inclusive of contests, guest speakers, networking, mentoring, and key symposiums.
Financial Planning, Budgeting and Management
Ensures budget alignment with the strategic plan in conjunction with the center director and Olinâ™s budget and operations department.Â
Manages day-to-day fiscal activities for the program.
Board, Family Board, and Faculty Fellow Engagement
Works with the Center Director and Olinâ™s Advancement team to ensure appropriate engagement with the two emerging boards of the enter â“ one which represents the family, and another which represents the external advisors to the center.Â
Develops communication material for these quarterly engagements and an end of year stewardship report to ensure strong engagement of our key constituents and donors
Event planning and execution experience.
Customer relationship management experience.
Marketing and communications experience.
Budgeting and planning experience.
Relevant Masters Degree, with focus on business or marketing.
Strong communication skills.
Accuracy and efficiency in managing work load.
Ability to work independently and move along institutional initiatives with little supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Ability to prioritize, organize and communicate effectively.
Bachelors degree with three years related experience or a masters degree with one year of related experience.
$45,800.00 - $75,900.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
