Under general direction, coordinates non-Madrid the Study Abroad Programs; oversees all aspects of the Universitys international non-Madrid study abroad programs, including traditional study abroad, faculty-led programs, exchange, and customized academic programs; is responsible for fostering an organizational culture and climate the fully supports global education and welcomes diversity in line with the University Mission.
Manages study abroad programs and student worker personnel; develops strategies for recruiting and advising applicants, both undergraduate and graduate, domestic and international; hosts promotional programs for students interested in studying abroad; represents the office of International Services both on and off campus and at local, regional and national events and programs; establishes standards and regulations and requirements for study abroad.
Processes applications of study abroad students; prepares visa materials for students, which may require working with embassies or consulates; upholds accordance with federal regulations; reads, interprets, and evaluates students academic credentials and makes admission/denial decisions.
Organizes pre-departure orientations, and welcome back initiatives; administers the study abroad insurance program and participates in risk management planning and processing.
Serves as primary institutional contact for exchange partners, enrollment personnel, and appropriate academic partners; coordinates efforts with academic departments to advise on short term academic opportunities; liaison with Student Financial Services for all study abroad student account billing; establishes and maintains active communication with partners, students, families, and other involved parties concerning admission, financial aid, tuition, and billing.
Participates as an active member of the intercultural and cultural orientation teams; assists with special programs, assessment, and research projects.
Serves as point of contact in the U.S. Study Abroad alumni; maintains confidential files; composes routine letters; maintains calendar; schedules appointments and hosts visits.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree required with Masters degree preferred; supplemented with five (5) years of related work experience. Ability to speak a foreign language is preferred.
