Our location in Abbott Park, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing.
Position reports to the Senior Director, Global Transfer Pricing and will have responsibility for direct report(s) and key contact for senior leaders throughout tax, finance and divisions, providing leadership in the areas of transfer pricing strategic planning, compliance and modeling.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage, implement, and support global transfer pricing strategic projects such as business supply chain planning, business restructurings, acquisition integration, etc.
---manage detailed economic and financial analyses to determine optimal solutions to intercompany transaction flows (tangible assets, intangible assets, services, etc.)
---identify opportunities to strategically implement transfer pricing structures to deliver effective tax rate and cash tax benefits
Proactively identify and manage transfer pricing risks by ensuring consistent application of transfer pricing practices and documentation for global intercompany transactions
---identify transfer pricing issues and propose strategies to mitigate risks
---review required global transfer pricing documentation and economic benchmarks
---collaborate with the corporate pricing and customs groups to set transfer prices
---evaluate need for transfer pricing adjustments and execute and manage necessary adjustments
Drives tax audit defense for both U.S. and foreign entities and provides management with strategic defense options
---develop strategic responses to IDRs
---evaluate the advantages of obtaining APAs and coordinate the process of obtaining and/or renewing APAs
Build and maintain relationships internally with finance colleagues as well as externally with outside advisors
Accountable for people development and building diversity in teams
---develop team capabilities and performance
---assign responsibility clearly and engage talent
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
8-10 years of relevant work experience in transfer pricing, economics, finance or tax
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, accounting and communication skills (both oral and written)
Self-starter, team player, ability to effectively interface throughout an organization at multiple levels
Ability to work under pressure to demanding deadlines imposed by project timescales or tax authority requirements
Ability to take initiative while seeking appropriate guidance
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to work with, manage, and mentor individuals in a team environment
Demonstrate commitment to department and organizational objectives
Work collaboratively within and across organizational lines to achieve common goals
Strong project management skills and ability to see a project from creation to completion
Ability to work independently
Advanced data analytics and financial modeling in excel; experience with Alteryx preferred
Strong attention to detail
