General Summary Reporting to a Manager in Freshmen Admissions, the Assistant Director is responsible for executing targeted recruitment activities and strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate population of the projected enrollment plan to the university. This position manages a recruitment territory, counsels prospective students and their families, and assists in evaluating transcripts and recommending admission decisions. The Assistant Director also conducts reporting via SLATE and contributes to the advancement of DePaul's recruitment strategies and initiatives, which may include project management of one of the following areas: marketing and communications, outreach to strategic mission populations, campus visits/events, recruitment initiatives for high-achieving students, or the management of an Inbound Call Center. Responsibilities & Duties
The Assistant Director executes targeted recruitment activities and strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate population of a predetermined size and mix, as defined by the university's enrollment goals and strategic plan.
The Assistant Director executes targeted outreach efforts to attract prospective students.
The position involves counseling and advising prospective students about undergraduate education opportunities at DePaul through telephone calls, regularly scheduled appointments, information sessions, open houses, and admission events.
Oversee hiring, training, and management of the tour guide team and the Tour Guide, Intern.
Work with other student groups such as ambassadors and scholarship volunteers.
Collaborate with Strategic Initiatives team to provide tour coverage for programming such as group visits.
Work with Tour Guide Intern to create a quarterly schedule for in-person and Zoom tours; providing tours for daily visits, large-scale visit programs, and any special programming that requires tours (alumni events, counselor events, etc)
Monitor tour evaluations to identify areas that the tour could improve upon/any performance issues among the tour guides.
Coordinate with campus partners (academic reservations, CDM, housing, etc.) to ensure the tour route is up to date and all parties are on the same page in regards to the tour schedule.
Work with other staff involved in daily visits to help implement any changes to the visitor experience that may be necessary.
In collaboration with the Associate Director, work with the Marketing team to secure guides for video and audio tour assets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
A bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 3 and preferably 5 years of direct, progressive, and successful experience with college marketing, recruiting, and/or admission practices.
A Master's degree.
Valid driver's license.
Based on the needs of the department, supervision of a full-time staff member or student intern may be required.
Regularly be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to periodically lift 25 pounds (boxes of recruitment materials).

Travel between DePaul campuses is required and will include several community colleges or high schools in and around the Chicagoland area.
The position requires some evening and weekend work, as needed.
